getting started

I have had so many jobs in my life and I’m not even 30. In each job, there have been moments where I’ve thought about quitting and starting my own business. But I was afraid to fail and I didn’t know exactly what I wanted my business to be. Should I finally launch my own photography business? What about writing a cookbook or starting a food blog? While I love photography and cooking, neither of those really seemed “me” enough to dive into starting a business. But what does excite me and what is true to the very core of my being, is to help people.

I am an ENFJ and Enneagram 2w3 for those of you that have any idea what that means. Basically, people are my bread and butter. I love meeting new people—I get energized by having a great conversation with the Trader Joe’s bagger or the barista at my local coffee shop. What’s even better than connecting with people? Being able to help them in some way. I like to solve problems and to serve. Take that personality and a major health scare, and a health and wellness brand is born.

If you haven’t read my about me section, I’ll sum it up quickly here: I found out I had a brain tumor when I was 32 weeks pregnant with my first child and underwent surgery at 33 weeks. By the grace of God, me and baby were safe and healthy post operation and the tumor was slow growing, fully removed, and a specific type that means I just have to monitor every year with an MRI.

One day I’ll write a blog post about all the ways God has saved me and the many blessings he has bestowed upon me and my family. But I really need to think on that to capture everything (and even then, I’m sure there are details I will miss). The key thing is HE IS GOOD and gracious.

All of that to say, I got really serious about my health after my daughter was born. My husband and I researched everything about supplements to fight free radicals, inflammatory foods/ingredients to avoid, clean personal products, non-toxic cookware, etc. I found myself educating friends and family and then decided to “partner” with two health companies that sell fantastic products to help people live their healthiest lives. So I decided instead of sending texts to all my friends and family for all the different products/brands I like, I’d just finally start a business that encompasses it all. And so, wholly taylor was born.

I look forward to continuing to educate myself and grow in my own health journey and helping you on yours.
